A LARGELY second-string Aberdeen side comfortably beat Montrose 3-0 at Links Park tonight.

The Dons goals came from Andy Considine, Steve Lovell and Willie John Kiely, with the scoring wrapped up by the 41st minute.

Considine, whose goal came from a Gary Dempsey corner in the 10th minute, was taken off in the second half and the Dons fans will be hoping that was purely precautionary.

Lovell's goal was a tap-in following good work from Keily, and Keily himself got on the scoresheet following a Donald shot.
