ABERDEEN boss Ebbe Skovdahl tonight expressed his delight at the way his players bounced back from their Parkhead humiliation.

The Dane told the Official AFC website: β€œI expected them to react positively. They are still a young side and I expect there will be dips. In football to win is the most important thing and this win was important for our confidence. We now face Hearts twice in four days. When I spoke to the players after the game some of them were still very tired in the second half. That's why we didn't produce the same quality that we had in the first half."

He also praised Scott Michie's performance, the 19 year old scored his first goal, and was named sponsors man of the match - in just his second start for the first team β€œHe did very well and took his goal well tonight. Up to now he has wanted to finish things too quickly. I was glad to see he was so cool in that situation. We have worked hard with the strikers over the last two months on one on one situation. I accept though that we are not close to being where we should be with that.”
