Scott Free

Dons and Scotland U-21 left back Scott Morrison has avoided punishment following his outburst in the press this week. The youngster was called in to Pittodrie to explain his reported rant concerning manager Jimmy Calderwood's team selection and tactics.

Calderwood has accepted the player's apology and dropped the issue without any form of disciplinary action. This would tend to indicate that the newspaper in question made the most of Scottie's comments, perhaps printing some out of context.

A spokesman for the Dons told TeamTalk: "The manager has spoken to Scott and that is the end of the matter. There have been no fines or anything like that. They have just had it out and that's the matter closed."

Jimmy had indicated earlier in the week that Morrison would be a likely starter against Livingston after a decent showing last Saturday when he came on at Dunfermline. The Pittodrie gaffer has stuck to his word despite Morrison's badly-timed outburst, as the 21-year old been included in Saturday's squad.
