Confusion today surrounded the date of Aberdeens first home game of the season.
Press reports this morning claim that the BBC has decided that their 1st live game will be Aberdeen vs Celtic, meaning the game will be moved to Sunday 11th August.
However the Official Hearts FC website yesterday claimed that the live game is their derby clash with Hibs.
Aberdeen MAD has done a bit of digging around on this and is still unsure on the date of the match.
First of all an e-mail to Pittodrie got the response that the club do not know and they will post the info on the Official AFC website as soon as they have it.
I followed that up with a phone call to the BBC in Glasgow. I was put through to a woman on a BBC information desk and was told that it was the Aberdeen vs Celtic game. I told her what the Hearts site said and she replied "Thats the information that I have."
Still unsure - I e-mailed the webmaster of the official Hearts site and was told that Chris Robinson had been told by the BBC that it would be their game that was live. As far as the Jambos are concerned everything has been confirmed and will be announced tomorow morning in the press.
I followed this up with a phone call to Pittodrie and was told they should know at around 3pm today.
