DONS boss Jimmy Calderwood is convinced that his team are capable of achieving a European spot this season.
The Dons recorded their fourth home win in a row with a 2-1 victory over Falkirk on Saturday and Calderwood is now confident that his rebuilt side can reach the SPL Euro qualifying slots.
He said: "Although we were bottom of the league for a very brief period our position looked much worse than it really was.
"I brought in six new players and it is not easy to settle at a big club like this, it takes time to adjust.
"The players are now producing the standards expected of them but only time will tell if this has been my most successful summer in the transfer market. But we are finding real consistency."
Meanwhile, two newspapers are reporting that West Brom full-back Jared Hodgkiss is set to sign a permanent contract with the Dons in January.
The 22-year-old joined Aberdeen at the start of the season on-loan and has played several matches for the first team.
