Beware Of The Budgie!
The striker, who banged in 17 goals in 16 reserve games for the Dons last season, left the club for around £40,000 on transfer deadline day.
Aberdeen boss Jimmy Calderwood knows all about Budgie's strengths and believes the youngster will have something to prove on Saturday.
He told RedWeb: "John will probably be out to prove himself - and rightly so.
"He is a very good goal scorer but he just didn't grab the opportunities he had when playing for the first team."
Calderwood is facing more selection problems following the news that Dan Smith and Zander Diamond are doubtful for the game.
Steve Lovell, Jamie Smith, Karim Touzani and Richie Byrne are all sidelined for the game that will be seen as a must-win by the Dons' support following last week's woeful defensive performance against Celtic.
The Dons won all three games with Falkirk last season with an aggregate score of 6-1, and with Falkirk's poor form at home continuing this term anything less than taking all three points back to Pittodrie is unacceptable.
