Dons boss Ebbe Skovdahl made two enforced changes to the team which drew 0-0 with Hertha Berlin, with Patrizio Billio and Leon Mike coming in for the injured pair of Roberto Bisconti and Laurent D'Jaffo.

Around 3,500 Dons fans travelled to West Lothian to see if the Dons, although unbeaten at Almondvale/West Lothian Courier Stadium/City Stadium - or whatever new name they want to give their ground this week - could record their 1st victory their.

The Dons were quick out of the blocks and forced a corner in the first minute which was taken by Eric Deloumeax - who is looking more comfortable since being switched to play in midfield - and was met by the unmarked Russell Anderson - who had the task of heading the ball home. The Dons 1-0 up after 50 seconds.

The Dons were well on top and should have doubled the lead four minutes later - but Darren Mackie fired his shot across goal.

Former don Eugene Dadi was clearly fired up for the game and was booked for a stupid foul on Russell Anderson and was lucky to escape a red card in the 15th minute after appearing to slap Peter Kjaer in the face after the Dane had beaten him to the ball.

Wisely Jim Leishman replaced him 10 minutes later with Canadian Davide Xausa - who was to receive pelters from the Dons fans who branded him a "moose shagging bas**rd" and constantly shouted "moooooooooosssssssssee" when he had the ball.

With his introduction the first half became a more even affair and the Dons held the lead until half time.

Livingston sterted the 2nd half brigther and got a deserved equaliser through the man who was getting all the stick - you guessed it - Davide "mooooooooosssssssseeeee" Xausa equalised after some uncertainty in the Dons defence.

Following the goal Skovdahl replaced Billio with Michie as Livvy started to control the game as Kjaer made a great save from Barry Wilson.

Leon Mike had a great chance to score moments later but fired his shot wide of goal.

In the 64th minute - the ref the dons fans love to hate - Mike McCurry certainly did nothing to change this - Scott Michie went on a mazy run - beating two defenders and appeared to be tripped as he was about to pull the trigger. McCurry blew his whistle - Michie booked for diving and a free kick to Livingston.

Leon Mike later went down injured in the Livingston penalty area as play raged on and only a superb tackle by Russell Anderson stopped Livvy from what would have been a great chance to score.
To make matters worse - Livvy keeper Broto - attempted to haul the injured Mike off the ground.

Aberdeen got the winner in the 74th minute - when Mike - cut in from the right wing and played a superb ball to Mackie - who could only hit the keeper with his 6 yard shot - luckily for the Dons the rebound fell to McNaughton who drilled the ball home for his 1st goal in a competitive Dons match.

After the goal Mike was replaced by Nicolas Fabiano.

Livvy piled on the pressure late on but the Dons held out to record only their 2nd SPL win this season - which leaves Livvy bottom of the table and moves the Dons up into 8th place - goal difference behind Motherwell in 7th.
