THE GAME between Aberdeen and Motherwell due to be played at Pittodrie tomorrow has been called off due to adverse weather conditions.
Snow has engulfed the North-East in the last 24 hours, so it was no surprise when the decision was made early on Friday.
Although this is clearly the correct decision, it is a real shame as the game would have had added intrigue due to it being the first fixture since the Dons nabbed Well's management team last week.
A statement form the SPL said: "The extreme weather conditions currently in the North East and its forecast continuance over the weekend led to police concerns about spectator safety travelling to and around Pittodrie Stadium.
"A new date will be announced in due course."
