The Dons youth team earned a win in Dunfermline thanks to a 47th minute own goal from Pars kid Howie. The Dons dominated the first half very much like the first team yesterday despite a swirling wind. The deadlock was broken two minutes after the break when Paton fired in a cross and Howie put the ball past his own keeper. That ended the scoring, giving the young Dons a deserved win in a match they dominated.
Youth team coach Neil Cooper told RedWeb: "I thought we handled the conditions well and put in a strong and committed performance. Like their senior counterparts they have now played most of the top sides and will be looking to start collecting points over the next few matches."
