The biggest Clanger of them all
This morning, stories were circulating that the Dons 1st team keeper Jamie Langfield was in hot water with Aberdeen's Management Team.
These rumours were later confirmed when Langfield himself admitted to the press that he had had a drunken altercation with Dons manager Jimmy Calderwood over the recent decision to knock back a bid from the Huns.
The Scotland squad member said "It was my stag night and I was drunk.
"I think everyone has been in a situation where they regret what they do on those sort of occasions.
"I spoke to the gaffer and he wasn't happy with me.
"I have apologised to him. But if he has made up his mind then that is it. I have to get on with my life now."
Manager Jimmy Calderwood said in response: "He slipped up two or three times at the end of the season.
"The third one was maybe just a little bit over the top."
"He has a lot of bridges to build with myself and my assistant, Jimmy Nicholl.
"He has made a mistake and admitted that, but the biggest losers are his wife and family.
"He has been absolutely brilliant for us and got himself back into the Scotland squad, but it is not going to be easy for him to get back into our first-team.
"If we don't get an offer for him that we find acceptable and Jamie finds acceptable, and if Derek Soutar gets an injury, he might get back in."
The contract extension that Langfield was expeced to sign has now been taken off the table and Langfield has since been transfer listed, Much to the delight of many supporters.
Ryan Esson, David Preece, Rab Douglas and Neil Alexander are being linked aspotential replacements with Derek Soutar set to start the new season as first team keeper.
