TRIALIST Othmane Hamama will end his trial period with Aberdeen without earning a contract at Pittodrie.

Defender Hamama played a part in the Dons' games against Elgin and Jomo Cosmos but is unlikely to feature for the Dons again during the rest of the South Africa tour.

The Frenchman lined up in the Aberdeen side that lost 2-0 to Cosmos yesterday, but was replaced by marauding fullback Richie Byrne in the second half.

Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood said: "It was hard for Othmane because he didn't have many experienced players around him. I think it will be difficult for him now."
