Motherwell-born Reynolds saw Faddy go from promising youngster at Fir Park to established first-team star in the English Premier League.
The Aberdeen defender is convinced his teenage team-mate Ryan Fraser has all the attributes to eventually follow in Faddy’s footsteps.
And with McFadden turning down a short-term deal with the Dons this summer, Fraser has been given his chance to shine in the first-team.
Reynolds said: "Ryan’s been a revelation coming though this season and is one of the most exciting players I have ever played with.
"McFadden was ripping it up for a while at Motherwell. He was the one they all talked about and he went all the way to the top.
"I’m sure Ryan can do really well too. He is different and is a little bit separated from reality at times.
"He floats about in his own world and just goes out and performs."
