Aberdeen FC was successful with its appeal against Pawlett's ludicrous sending off for attempting to block a clearance against Hibernian last Saturday.
The SFA made the decision yesterday which pours more doubt on the supposed even-handedness of the Glasgow media who, led by BBC Scotland, was publicly baying for blood after the innocuous challenge.
Even supposed Aberdeen fan, BBC Sportsound achorman Richard Gordon, was tweeting specifically to criticise Pawlett's now-pardoned actions as well as any Dons fans who replied correctly defending the player.
However, Pawlett's two-match ban for simulation will still stand and will be effective from Saturday after the club chose not to contest it.
The Scotland Under-21 star will therefore miss tomorrow's trip to Inverness and the home game against Hearts on the 28th December.
