The Reds face an uphill task after losing 2-0 in San Sebastian but still have hope going into this evening's sell-out second leg at Pittodrie.
Monakana watched the first leg from the stands and is desperate to get involved in the Dons' attempt to turn around the tie.
And the Brighton loanee plans to get the inside track on Sociedad from his parent club's Spanish contingent, which includes Bruno and Inigo Calderon.
The 20-year-old winger said: "I will definitely be speaking to some of the Spanish boys to see if there is any more I can find out about the Real Sociedad team.
"There are a lot of Spanish players at Brighton and they are very good players.
"Sociedad will be tough and it will be great to play against them as they have some great players."
