The match against Daugava Riga marks the Dons' return to European football for the first time since 2009.
McGinn scored the equaliser when the Dons stormed back from 2-0 down to draw against Irish champions St Patrick’s Athletic in Dublin in their first pre-season outing.
And the 26-year-old forward is desperate to continue to prove himself to the Dons fans by helping the club go as far as they can in the Europa League.
McGinn said: "I came to Aberdeen to play in cup competitions, do well in the league and be back in Europe again and thankfully we’ve done that.
"Now I want to play at this level and thrive in it."
