AFC stuck five past Daugava Riga on Thursday with McGinn on the scoresheet as they all but secured their place in the next round to face Dutch side Groiningen.
The Northern Irishman said the squad is high on confidence and is looking forward to a run in Europe.
He said: “We are in Europe so we have to enjoy these occasions.
“I think it’s the start of something special for the club and there will be greater and harder challenges ahead.”
