DONS manager Mark McGhee has admitted that his job is under threat after the loss to St Johnstone left his team in a relegation battle.
Aberdeen had gone ahead thanks to Darren Mackie's goal, but dreadful defending allowed Kenny Deuchar and Cillian Sheridan to give the Saints to a 3-1 victory that dumped the Dons in the relegation mire.
And boss McGhee knows that his job is on the line if he cannot turn things round to save the Dons season.
He said: "We're all playing for our futures. There have been certain aspects there's mitigation for and I don't feel culpable for, but when it starts to look like that then clearly I'm not getting as much out of the players I send out there as I require.
"That starts to reflect on me, so for the first time I'm starting to feel that I'm under threat.
"We have five games to go and require two wins, and that is starting to look like it'll be really hard.
"The players know they're not safe but they're just not showing the desire to do something about it.
"They seem to be hoping that something will happen elsewhere to see them safe without really earning it, and that's a worry for me."
