ABERDEEN striker Darren Mackie could miss the rest of the season, as Aberdeen's injury woes strike again.
Mackie was carried off on a stretcher after a collision with former Dons keeper Ryan Esson during last night's defeat to Inverness Caley Thistle.
A scan has shown that the Inverurie-born forward has suffered knee ligament damage, which could mean he is out until well into next year.
Mackie was expected to slide down the pecking order this season with the addition of a number of strikers, but his versatility meant he has regularly filled in for Peter Pawlett on the right wing.
Under-fire gaffer Mark McGhee has already pointed to an extensive injury list to explain the Dons' terrible run of results this season, and it does seem like his limited squad has been blighted by bad luck - and that luck is not getting any better.
