Lee-ve Of Absence

AFC legend and Director of Football Willie Miller this afternoon finally pulled the plug on the possibility of Bristol City's Lee Miller joining Jimmy Calderwood's Pittodrie revolution.

The player's agent had been given a deadline of 3pm this afternoon to respond to the offer given to him by the Dons, but failed to meet the deadline.

As reported on Stand Free this morning, Aberdeen will now be looking elsewhere for strikers with bid for Killie's Kris Boyd and relegated Dundee's Steve Lovell already having been turned down. But with Lee Miller and his agent now finished their pathetic drawn-out toying with first Hearts and now Aberdeen, the way is clear for the Dons to potentially increase their bids for one or both of the aforementioned SPL hitmen.

Willie Miller said "I have a criteria laid down and part of that criteria is to bring in players who want to play for the club. The reason I have pulled the plug on Lee is that I didn't feel he was 100% committed in wanting to come to Aberdeen. I feel we had given him plenty of time to make up his mind and now we are turning our attentions to others on our list."
