ABERDEEN goalkeeper Jamie Langfield says revenge is on the Dons players' minds ahead of their Co-operative Insurance Cup clash with Raith Rovers.
Raith knocked Aberdeen out of last season's Scottish Cup fifth round; the fourth First Division club to knock the Dons out of the last five cup competitions, following Queen of the South, Dunfermline and Dundee.
Gregory Tade's second-half Pittodrie goal dismissed the Dons after the Stark's Park tie ended 1-1.
However, Langfield insists there will be no repeat, despite John McGlynn's side currently sitting in second slot in the First Division.
Langfield told BBC Scotland: "It's the perfect opportunity for us and the manager's really happy with the draw.
"It's a massive game and it'll show us how far we've come since last season as it's a new team."
"We'll be very professional about it and go about it in the right way because we know that Aberdeen are a massive scalp outwith the Old Firm.
"Teams in the lower leagues raise their game when they play us but it's up to us to get the right result."
