Defender Joe Shaughnessy has joined Falkirk on loan from Aberdeen.
The 22-year old has joined Peter Houston's side until January, having played over 50 times in five years with the Pittodrie club.
Houston said: "Joe is a big strong lad and very good in the air.
He can play at full-back or in central-defence and because of his height he will also give us a real goal threat at set pieces and corners."
Shaughnessy has also made four appearances for the Republic of Ireland's Under 21 side, scoring three times in 23 appearances for Forfar during a loan spell in 2011.
The defender still has a year left on his contract with the Dons.
