DUTCH Eredivisie side Utrecht are bewildered by rumours linking Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood with their vacant managerial post.
Calderwood, who played and coached in the Netherlands, revealed last week that agents there have put his name forward for the job.
And the rumours led to much discussion amongst Dons fans about potentially losing their manager, who has taken the team from the bottom of the table to a run of 19 points from the last 24 available in the SPL.
But Utrecht chairman Jan-Willem van Dop insisted the 53-year-old was never on his shortlist.
He said: "I don't know where the rumours about Jimmy came from. But he has certainly never been in the picture for Utrecht."
Caldo has also been linked with a move to Norwich, who appointed former Dons 'keeper Bryan Gunn as gaffer until the end of the season.
