Aberdeen reserves moved six points clear at the top of the SPL reserve league following a 4-0 victory over Hibs at Easter Road. The comprehensive victory included yet another goal from second string super striker John 'Budgie' Stewart.

However there was no run-out for injury victims Michael Hart and Scott Severin which indicates that the Dons will be without the influential duo for at least another week.

The Dons took the lead in 17 minutes when a long throw in from Scott Muirhead was headed on by Andrew Considine to Kyle Macaulay who headed home.

Aberdeen scored their second in 35 minutes when a Muirhead cross was stroked into the net by Budgie Stewart, bringing his season's tally to 9 goals in 10 games.

Fifteen minutes from the end, substitute Chris Maguire chipped keeper Simon Brown for the Dons' third, and with five minutes remaining Maguire scored again after a good run from Budgie down the right channel.

Aberdeen: Esson, Thomson (McInnes 65), Muirhead, Winter, Skinner (Thomas 79), Considine, Macaulay, Foster, Stewart, Dempsey, Kiely (Maguire 70).
