McInnes revealed at the pre-match press conference that winger Jonny Hayes is set for a return after missing the last two matches through injury.
Hayes was thought to be out for at least four matches after pulling a hamstring in the defeat to Inverness Caley Thistle in February.
The Dons were rocked by the news that Peter Pawlett had broken his arm against Dundee Utd last week, with Adam Rooney also out injured for several weeks.
But the news that Hayes is in the squad for the trip to Firhill will give the fans and players a fillip as Aberdeen attempt to close the gap on Celtic at the top of the SPFL Premiership.
