A local newspaper is reporting that Hayes could be fit enough to return to action against Partick Thistle at Firhill on Tuesday evening.
The influential winger has been missing since the loss to Inverness Caley Thistle with a hamstring injury picked up in the Highlands.
Aberdeen are looking to close the gap on Celtic at the top of the Premiership to a single point on Tuesday, but are already missing top scorer Adam Rooney and forward Peter Pawlett.
