ABERDEEN FC managing director Duncan Fraser has been voted on to the SPL Board at the SPL General Meeting yesterday.
Fraser will sit alongside SPL Executive Chairman Lex Gold, Campbell Christie of Falkirk, Hibernian's Rod Petrie and some bloke called 'Martin Bain' on the five-man board.
The appointment follows the passing of Eddie Thompson who served on the board for several years, and will hopefully give Aberdeen a strong voice in the running of the top level of Scottish Football.
Gold said: "Duncan will provide valuable input to our discussions and decision making going forward."
And Fraser himself told Aberdeen's RedWeb: "Naturally it's a tremendous honour to have been voted on to the SPL Board although it is extremely sad that the circumstances leading to the vacancy was the untimely passing of Eddie Thompson.
"AFC has always been at the forefront of progress in Scottish football and I look forward to helping to continue that trend in the months and years ahead."
