ABERDEEN striker Lee Miller is set to become the fourth player to knock back a new contract with the Dons this week.
The big striker will inform the Dons that his future lies elsewhere next season, joining so-called 'contract rebels' Michael Hart, Chris Clark and Barry Nicholson who all turned down new deals this year.
Miller's display in Saturday's 2-1 defeat of Hibs is likely to have impressed number of the English Championship and League One scouts who were in attendance.
With 12 goals to his name this season, the 24-year-old appears to be keen on another crack at English football having spent two years with Bristol City between 2003 and 2005.
Miller was keeping his cards close to his chest when he said: "I will wait and see what happens, the talks are on-going.
"I am keeping an open mind. I think I have had a decent season so I just need to wait and see what comes up."
It is believed however that the striker has his heart bank account set on the bigger wages available down south.
The four 'contract rebels' lead a 2008 exodus from the club that includes Derek Soutar, Greg Kelly, Richie Byrne, Dave Bus, Jonathan Smith and Steve Lovell, as well as youth players Neil McVitie, Martin Skinner, David Ross, Jordan Halsman, Greig Lamberty and Clydesdale Bank Under-19 League Rising Star winner Ryan Strachan - whose departure has never been fully explained by the club.
When asked today about Miller's impending departure, Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood said: "We're hoping he will stay, but need an answer soon."
With Miller's fellow striker Lovell also leaving Pittodrie, Calderwood is believed to be hot on the trail of Slovak forward Pavol Masaryk.
Calderwood missed the Dons' Saturday victory over Hibs to watch Masaryk score in a 3-0 win for his club SK Bratislava. The big forward is thought to be a similar type of player to Miller and was third top scorer in the league last season.
Meanwhile, Calderwood is set to continue his plundering of Dunfermline players with a number of newspapers linking him with a move for Dunfermline duo Mark Burchill and Darren Young.
