The memorial was unveiled by Eddie's daughter Valerie Low in the concourse of the Richard Donald Stand last Saturday.
The Dons were playing against Hibernian that day, the club where of course Eddie Turnbull was similarly revered as a manager and also as a player in Hibs' legendary 'Famous Five' forward line.
Dons supporters and players who played under Mr Turnbull were in attendance, including record goalscorer Joe Harper, and Turnbull's favourite captain Martin Buchan who gave an appreciation of his much-loved boss.
The memorial has been created by the AFC Former Players Association and the AFC Heritage Trust and the site chosen so that as many Dons' fans as possible will be able to visit it and remember a truly great manager.
