Aberdeen is introducing a third kit this season, a navy blue kit with white trim, which was inspired by the navy blue kit the Club wore in 1972. The navy blue third kit will go on sale on Wednesday 13 July 2005 and will only be available from official outlets.
These kits are the second set of Nike kits brought out by the Dons as part of their four-year deal with Just Sport Pro Club, the Club's merchandising partner. The deal, which was signed last year, sees both partners benefiting from the sale of kit and other Aberdeen branded merchandise.
Peter Crawford, Managing Director of JSPCL told Redweb, ''Aberdeen Football Club is a tremendous Club with fantastic supporters who have done themselves proud with their outstanding support. They've flocked to the Club shops this season resulting in records sales figures, which really benefits Aberdeen Football Club.
''The new kits are of the highest quality and superb design and we have no doubt that with the continued support of the Red Army, demand will be strong and sales will exceed those of last season."
Commenting on the new kits Duncan Fraser, Aberdeen FC's Executive Director Head of Operations said: "The new kits look fantastic and I'm sure will be snapped up by the Red Army. We've listened to feedback from the fans and have worked with Just Sport to ensure that the kits are on sale as soon as possible so that fans can have the new kit in time for their summer holidays and the Club's pre-season games."
The current white away kit will continued to be used by the Dons in the coming season.
