ABERDEEN have unveiled a new home kit for the 2009/10 season - and have confirmed that a new 'Euro' kit is also set to be launched in August.
The Dons have looked to the past with the horizontally pinstriped home shirt, echoing elements of '80s strips, to usher in a new era at Pittodrie.
The new apparel will officially go on sale on Thursday 11th June from www.afc.co.uk or through the AFC club shops at Pittodrie or on Aberdeen's Bridge Street.
The shirt is constructed from Nike's innovative Dri-Fit fabric, which keeps players drier, cooler and lighter by drawing sweat from the body to the fabric's surface, while its mesh back panel provides optimum ventilation rapidly moving moisture away from the body. Apparently.
There is no news from either AFC or the manufacturer on how it copes with spilt pints of San Miguel or cigar burns, however.
Despite this, Dons captain-in-waiting Zander Diamond is already a fan.
He said: "The new kit looks really smart and more importantly it feels comfortable which is important during the course of a game. I'm sure it will be a hit with the supporters."
Aberdeen-Mad has received permission to show pictures of Zander and Bebo Maguire sporting the new kit, so here's one:
