The 27-year-old has been training with the Dons in recent weeks as he looks to kick-start his career following a spell in the United States.
Driver spent two seasons with Major League Soccer side Houston Dynamo before his American adventure ended in November.
Driver, who has signed until the end of the season, could make his debut against Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership on Friday, subject to international clearance.
Dons boss Derek McInnes told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to get Andy on board. Hopefully he will make the most of this opportunity we've given him.
"During his time with us I believe there has been enough to suggest that he can be a good addition to our squad."
