ABERDEEN officials today met with Grampian Police ahead of Saturday's game against Hearts - and received positive news about the likelihood of the match taking place.
The police are happy with the work which has been carried out in preparation for the big game, although the unpredictable weather conditions may still present problems.
An AFC spokesman said: "All parties will continue to monitor the weather situation over the next 48 hours.
"Unless there is a deterioration in the weather conditions over that period the Club are hopeful that the Aberdeen v Hearts game should go ahead as scheduled on Saturday at 3pm."
The AFC ticket office is not selling briefs for South Stand Section Y due to the weather.
