Osbourne, 27, left the Dons in May claiming he wanted to be closer to his family in Birmingham.
But following Ozzy's Glasgow move, McInnes insists there are no hard feelings and hinted that the Jags may have made some concessions to Osbourne to get him to sign.
The Dons gaffer told BBC Scotland: "Well, he is closer to his family, although he's still a fair bit away.
"I still keep in touch with Isaac and I spoke to him last week. I meant what I said at the time - he was a player that I was keen to keep working with.
"He's had his injury problems, but a fit Isaac Osbourne is a good player for any team in the SPFL.
"Partick have done really well to get him. Obviously they have some understanding of how his working week will be."
