The 25-year-old former Manchester City player joined Derek McInnes' Aberdeen on loan from Brentford in January, but that deal expires at the end of the season.
Logan is thought to have been keen to return south due to his two children being based in Manchester, but the Dons have accommodated his family issues and the player has been allowed to fly back regularly.
And it's this flexibility that has led to the full-back mulling over the prospect of staying at Pittodrie beyond the summer and will have talks with McInnes at the end of the season about his future.
He said: "I have really enjoyed my time here so far. It's been one of the best spells of my career in football with winning the cup and playing at places like Celtic Park.
"It's surpassed my expectations and I have really enjoyed the city and the people up here.
"I have two kids that I have been living away from for the past three years. It's been a case of coming back weekly to see them. I just have to find the right balance for me.
"But Derek has given me time off to fly back down to see them. He knows how important that is to me and I really appreciated it."
