AFC has announced details of this year's Gala Dinner to be held on Friday 9th October 2009 at the AECC.
With last year's event hailed a resounding success, the AFC Gala Dinner has become a permanent fixture on the local social calendar.
This year, Leeds United and England legend Jack Charlton will be the guest of honour. Jack has enjoyed an illustrious football career, as both a player and manager.
He became manager of both domestic and international sides, memorably leading the Republic of Ireland to the quarter finals of the World Cup in 1990.
Jack will be joined by fellow guest speaker Neil " Razor" Ruddock.
Ruddock began his controversial footballing career at Millwall and played at Tottenham, Southampton, Liverpool and West Ham. He is now helping talented young footballers who have been released from Academies with the "Pass and Move Soccer School".
Rob McLean will return as master of ceremonies, while an auction and heads and tails will also be held in aid of AFC Youth Development.
Lynne Duncan, AFC's Sales and Marketing Manager, said: "Our annual Gala Dinner continues to go from strength to strength and after the success of last year's event we have once again strived to secure high calibre speakers, who I am sure will both entertain and amuse our guests."
