Celtic manager Ronny Deila believes his side will stay at the top of the SPFL table for the rest of the season.

Aberdeen streaked five points clear at the top of the league after an amazing eight-game winning run at the start of the season.

But the Dons have faltered since, allowing Celtic to overtake and create their own five-point gap ahead of the two teams' Parkhead clash – and Delia believes they will stay right at the summit for the rest of the season.

He said: "Of course I think that. We are on a good run now. We go into every game looking to win and now we just need to keep up the momentum.

"We will do that with hard work in training every day."

Celtic striker Nadir Ciftci took time out from fighting his own team mates to back up his manager's arrogance.

The former Dundee Utd player said: "With the squad we’ve got here, we should be at the top of the table anyway. That’s what we’re concentrating on."

And occasional funnyman Kevin Bridges taunted the Dons on his last trip north, leaving a note for Aberdeen fans on the AECC wall of fame.

Bridges wrote “Fit like!” before suggesting Aberdeen would be this season’s SPL runners-up.

Perhaps the club should move the message from the AECC to the Celtic Park away dressing room wall tomorrow...
