Captain Leaves Aberdeen And Nobody Kerrs

ABERDEEN captain Mark Kerr has left the Dons to join Greek club Asteras Tripolis.

The 28-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the First Division side, according to Sky Sports News.

Kerr enjoyed a splendid first season with the Dons, where his busy style and no-nonsense approach endeared him to the fans.

However, he utterly failed to grasp the nettle this season when asked to take the responsibility of captaincy, and there will not be many Dons supporters mourning his departure.

Kerr told Sky Sports: "I am very pleased to continue my career in Greece and look foward to playing for Asteras.

"I know there are many good players in Greece. What I can promise at this time is to give 100 percent of my effort in each match."

Kerr's departure leaves an opening for new captain, and recently-announced Aberdeen-Mad Player of the Year Richard Foster will be leading the chase for the armband.
