DONS hot shot Scott Vernon wants the Dons to build on their 4-2 win over Hibernian - and there'd be no better way than beating Falkirk in the cup tonight.
The Dons will go into tonight's Co-operative Insurance Cup quarter-final clash full of confidence following the convincing win over Colin Calderwood's side at Pittodrie.
And Vernon, who has scored seven goals in the last seven games (if you include the deflected goal against Hibs, which we will), is keen to keep his and the Dons' momentum flowing.
He said: "We know we have to carry it on. We had gone six games without a win and it has mounted up. We did feel the win coming but you still have to get out there and do the business.
"We trained well all week and we took that into the game. Having more of the squad back has really helped us. The win is going to give us confidence going into a massive cup game on Tuesday.
"I don't know much about Falkirk personally - all I know is they are in the league below us and that we need to win. We know it will be a tough game as it was against Raith Rovers and we are not underestimating them at all. We have to be on our game because if we are not we will lose."
It is expected that Falkirk boss Steven "That's what we are about" Pressley will pin this entirely uncontroversial article to the away dressing room wall in lieu of a well thought-out team talk.
