ABERDEEN striker Chris Maguire is eager to take revenge on Celtic when they meet in the Scottish Cup semi-final next month.
The Dons earned their place at Hampden with a 2-1 win over St Mirren in a quarter-final replay on Wednesday night. Maguire opened the scoring from close range before Scott Vernon added the second for the Dons.
And the 22-year-old says he can't wait for another chance to take on the Hoops, saying: "The supporters turned out in great numbers the last time and hopefully they will do the same again and there is a different outcome at the end of it."
He added: "Everyone had thought we had seen the back of Celtic. They have won every game against us so far but this is a great opportunity and probably the most important one from our point of view.
"The game will take care of itself when it comes around but I'm sure we won't be as easily pushed over this time."
Aberdeen have suffered a number of painful exits in cup competitions in recent seasons but Maguire was pleased with the way his side held out for the win against the Buddies.
He said: "Obviously it feels brilliant to be in a Scottish Cup semi-final.
"The match did not turn out the way we wanted it to on Saturday but we got the luck to get the late equaliser.
"Once we got them back up the road we knew we would be favourites and I thought the boys handled that pressure well. It was a great performance."
