ABERDEEN striker Chris Maguire has picked up the Scottish Cup Player of the Round award for his hat-trick during the 6-0 win over East Fife.
The Man of the Match display was just one of a number of stand-out performances from the forward this season, which has seen interest in him rise during the transfer window.
But Dons gaffer Craig Brown dismissed reports linking Bebo with English Premier League club Blackburn Rovers.
He said: "I'm good friends with their manager Steve Kean and there is nothing in that one at all."
And yesterday, Aberdeen legend and director of football Willie Miller was keen to underline that the Dons are desperate to get Maguire to sign a new deal.
Miller admitted that he is initially encouraged about the talks that have started over extending the 22-year-old’s contract.
He said: "We've now spoken to Chris and he indicated that he is keen to stay, which we see as a positive step."
