Further to Aberdeen-Mad's earlier story, more information has been released from Pittodire about the rib injury to Barry Nicholson.
The club has also given out information on Ferne Snoyl's injury for the first time since he was substituted in the first half of Aberdeen's defeat to Celtic.
Jimmy Calderwood told
RedWeb: "Barry is getting an x-ray this afternoon on his suspected broken rib. If it is broken he will be out for about six weeks and if it is just bruised it will be about four weeks. He has been playing to the standard he should be recently so it is a big blow for us.
"Ferne should be ok for this weekend but if not this week then he should definitely be back the following week. All our long term injured players consisting of Byrne, Smith, Hart and Esson are still out.
"We are going down to train at Raith Rovers on Thursday and Friday due to the weather conditions up here which will allow us to get the boys ready for the Dunfermline game. I think we will need three wins from our next five games to make sure we get in the top six."
