CITY planners have recommended Aberdeen Football Club's proposed new stadium on the outskirts of the city for approval.
The Dons hope to build the 21,000-seater stadium at Loirston Loch near Cove at a cost of up to £40m.
The council meets on Wednesday 23 February, with potential economic benefits among the reasons for the recommendation for approval - but there have been more than 100 letters of objection.
The stadium, which will be lit at night by a red glow, is set to include a gym, a club shop, museum and supporters' bar.
The application follows a public consultation, and Scottish ministers will have the final say.
