ABERDEEN FC's fixtures for the new season have been announced.
The Dons will start with a home game against Hamilton, followed by a trip to Perth to face St Johnstone.
Aberdeen face two back-to-back away games over the Christmas period - against Hibs and Hamilton - meaning unwelcome festive travel for the fans and no financial boost to the club of a home Boxing Day game.
The New Year's Day fixture, that SPL secretary Iain Blair said would be local derbies to minimise travel, will fortunately see Aberdeen fans play Dundee Utd at home rather than Inverness away.
