A large travelling support filled Victoria Park to catch a glimpse of Derek McInnes's new faces and get an idea of the Dons' formation and tactics for the coming season.
Young Nicky Low grabbed the only goal of the first half from a Johnny Hayes cross, and the Red Army will be hoping that the talented kid manages to break through to the first team this term.
Josh Magennis headed the Dons' second from a Niall McGinn corner just after coming on at the break, and last season's top scorer McGinn continued where he left off by grabbing the third just before full-time when Magennis returned the favour.
All in all it was a good warm-up for the Dons who gave 'debuts' to new each of McInnes's major summer signings Barry Robson, Willo Flood and Gregg Wylde.
Starting line-up: Langfield, Murray, Anderson, Reynolds, Robertson, Jack, Robson, Low, Hayes, Vernon, McManus. Subs: Rogers, Clark, Shaugnessy, Pawlett, Flood, Wylde, Magennis, McGinn
