Long-term injury victim Yoann Folly is still mysteriously sidelined and striker Mohamed Chalali is doubtful after returning from international duty with a knock.
However crucial midfield lynchpin Kari Arnason and young star Ryan Jack should feature against the Buddies, while Scott Vernon and Rory Fallon have also improved their fitness after playing through knocks.
St Mirren midfielder Steven Thomson remains on the sidelines but otherwise they have an unchanged squad with Hugh Murray short of match fitness after knee surgery.
Current Aberdeen manager Craig Brown told BBC Scotland: "I don't want to make a fool of myself by making rash predictions - but my prediction is we'll win some games in the forthcoming weeks.
"It disappoints me, but everyone's emphasising the fact that we're bottom of the league - which is correct.
"But no one says we've played the top three twice - we're the only team who have done that.
"No one says that we've a game in hand, and if we draw it, we won't be bottom of the league.
"We've had horrendous injury troubles and suspensions, but there's no reason for me to make any excuses - we're there because we've not had enough points."
St Mirren manager Danny Lennon added: "It's our football that has got us our success. I know people talk about the pitches but you can still play football.
"What we have to do is to stop hurting ourselves and stop letting teams live off our mistakes."
