Sky Sports says Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes is looking south of the border for a new goalkeeper and have Sam Johnstone in their sights.
The 23-year-old Manchester United 'keeper is yet to make a first team appearance for the Old Trafford club and has spent time at Oldham, Yeovil, Scunthorpe, Doncaster and Preston on loan.
But he could be in line to become McInnes's new number 1 after the departures of Scott Brown and Adam Collin.
Johnstone knows he is unlikely to be involved in top team action under Jose Mourinho, with David De Gea and Sergio Romero in front of him.
And McInnes would prefer to get a goalkeeper in before the Europa League signing deadline later this month, but would also be at ease pitching in Danny Rogers.
He has returned from a successful loan at Falkirk, while the Dons also have Aaron Lennox – who made his debut in the final game of the season – as back-up.
