Ambitious Russian-backed League 1 club Bournemouth are keen to get a jump on bigger clubs who may wait until summer to pick up the player for a nominal compensation fee.
It is thought that a fee of £350,000 has been agreed, which is way in excess of what the Dons would receive in the summer.
A host of clubs from the Engish Championship and Premier League have had Ryan Fraser watched in recent months as the youngster burst onto the scene.
Aberdeen boss Craig Brown desperately tried to persuade the double-Young Player of the Month winner to sign a new contract late last year, but ultimately failed.
