ABERDEEN
While there has been much gnashing of teeth within the Aberdeen support due to the lack of incoming transfers this summer, our first win of the season has once again brought a focus onto our emerging talent.
The end of last season saw Paton and Pawlett burst onto the scene and on Saturday, even more pleasing than a comfortable away win, was the debuts of Fyvie and Crawford. The teenage quartet have shown a combination of skill, hunger and grit way beyond their years and watching them develop in a team promoting free flowing, passing football is really something for the Aberdeen support to look forward to.
With our ranks swelled by promising kids and a few more experienced players expected to sign before the end of the window, our disappointing start will shortly be well behind us and McGhee can get on with establishing himself as a legend off the park as well as on it.
