WITH the Killie game being called off, the club's AGM was the only thing of note for Dons fans this week.
As expected, on the back of record-breaking turnover and a few million being shaved off the club's debt, the Board was re-elected without opposition. The only criticism being directed at Willie Miller and Calderwood for their attempts via the media to attribute our woeful start to the fans' unrealistic expectations.
Given the reported financial meltdown in Gorgie, the numbers reported by AFC coupled with the board's policy of fiscal prudence have reassured the fans and bankers of the club's stability in what promises to be truly challenging times.
Unfortunately for Milne and Co, the average Dons punter is more concerned with another set of numbers.
If we fail to make it to Hampden in May, it will be a decade since our last final, 15 years since our last trophy, 20 since we last won the Scottish Cup and 25 since we last had a league flag on display.
For whilst many acknowledge the board's improved performance in recent years, it is only once these numbers are addressed that the Pittodrie St punters will even consider forgiving them for early blunders, like ever appointing Alex Miller.
