Love Hurts
Ah Valentines Day, Jimmy Calderwood and co are going to have to go some to top last year's when we thrashed Bayern 2-2.
What made that night so special was that our team played without fear and something approaching a self confident swagger and we fell in love with them all over again.
In our run over the festive period, culminating in the Celtic game, we played in a similar manner and lo and behold Pittodrie was packed, rocking and the Beach End was singing Jimmy's name.
It was as if we'd finally seen what we'd been waiting for and even Curva Sud cynics like myself were won over by our Cuprinol-coated lothario.
All of which made his predicatable switch back to 'matching up' with our opponents (which was kinda understandable against Rangers but completely baffling against Falkirk) all the more depressing.
There is no need for Jimmy to 'match up' to a Hearts side without a central defence and who illustrated in our last encounter that if you put them under pressure they have all the dignity and self-control of Kerry Katona on a night on the lash.
So Jimmy, be confident in your side and just let 'em rip and lets see those 'Hearts Broken on Valentine Day' headlines on Sunday morning.
And if we try and fail, dinna worry theres always United next week.
